Free dental screening for kids at Magnuson Park on Saturday

A free dental screening for children 1 to 18 will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday (June 9) by The Center for Pediatric Dentistry.

No reservations are necessary and there is free parking at the center, located at Seattle’s Magnuson Park.

Each child will receive a free brief dental screening to identify potential trouble spots. No X-rays will be taken.

This event provides the opportunity for a first dental visit for very young children and their parents or caregivers. Visitors may tour the center, see an interactive exhibit on oral health, get dental supplies and can have their picture taken with the Tooth Fairy.

The center is a collaborative venture by the University of Washington School of Dentistry and Seattle Children’s. It emphasizes the importance of early childhood dental health and dental visits by age 1.
