Louisiana double-murder suspect arrested in Tacoma

U.S. Marshal Mark Ericks says his deputies have arrested a fugitive wanted in connection with a double homicide in Louisiana.

Ericks says the Northwest Fugitive Task Force learned that Reanaldo N. Nargo was staying in Tacoma. They surrounded the home on Tuesday and Nargo surrendered without incident, Ericks said in a news release.

News reports say Nargo escaped custody after being arrested in January for a double-homicide in Campti, a town in Natchitoches Parish. Police say he shot two men in an argument over another firearm. He fled in handcuffs when the deputies booking him were distracted by another inmate, according to news reports.

He was tracked to his brother’s home in Tacoma, according to Louisiana news reports.
