Morning Memo/Sunday: Cafe Racer shooting victim released … graduations … false signatures

Weather: Partly sunny, with a high near 64. The upcoming week looks a bit humid: chance of rain, cloudy, with temperatures in the mid- to high-60s. The National Weather Service forecast.

Traffic: The map and cams.

Cafe Racer shooting victim released: The sole survivor of the Cafe Racer shooting was released from Harborview Medical Center on Saturday. Leonard Meuse, 46, was shot in the jaw and armpit while working at the cafe last month. Meuse’s father says his son is already talking about going back to work. KING5 has the story.

Graduations: More than 5,000 UW students received degrees Saturday at the school’s 137th commencement. The ceremonies took place at CenturyLink Field because of renovations to Husky Stadium.

Today, two Seattle University commencement events are at 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. at KeyArena. Commuters should expect traffic delays.

If you know someone who’s graduating this weekend, tweet at us (@seattletimes) with their Twitter username and we’ll tweet a congratulatory message to them.

Disputed signatures: Officials believe nearly 1,000 signatures submitted by the campaign seeking to reverse same-sex marriage in Washington are fraudulent. The disputed signatures were gathered by a single paid signature-gatherer, who apparently used the names of registered voters and then forged their signatures. Evidence will be handed over to the State Patrol for investigation.
