Morning Memo/Sunday: Pride parade … more rain … Seattle Great Wheel

Weather: Dry this morning, but showers might be on their way back this afternoon. Expect a high in the mid 60s. Again, it looks like we may have to wait until Monday for sunnier skies. The National Weather Service forecast.

Traffic and Pride Parade: Today is the Seattle Pride Parade. While always well-attended, the new same-sex-marriage law — and a fall referendum to undo the law — may boost the crowds. Expect traffic delays downtown and on some of Capitol Hill.

Recovery of body on Mount Rainier: It is not known yet whether Mount Rainier National Park Rangers will be able to recover the body Saturday of a ranger who died Thursday during a rescue. Tough weather and 3 feet of fresh snow made recovery impossible Saturday.

Kyle Griffith, 32, looks out the window of the Seattle Great Wheel Saturday June 23, 2012 while taking a ride with his father Hal and brother Troy (Bettina Hansen/The Seattle Times).

Seattle Great Wheel: Photographer Bettina Hansen got a first-hand look at the newly constructed Ferris wheel on the Seattle waterfront. It is set to open on June 29.

520 bridge to close briefly this morning: The 520 floating bridge will temporarily close to drivers at 11 a.m. to allow the drawspan to open for marine traffic. Drivers should expect a delay of up to a half-hour or consider an alternate route
