Recall targets 2 kinds of Safeway lasagna

Two varieties of Safeway meat lasagna are being recalled because the labels fail to say they contain egg and soy, both of which can trigger allergic reactions.

The products being recalled are cartons of “Safeway Select Five Cheese Lasagna” with a package code of April 4, 2013, and “Safeway Select Meat Lasagna” with a “best-by” date of April 4, 2013.

The products were shipped by Illinois-based Windsor Quality Food Co. to retailers in a dozen states, including Washington.

Approximately 96,480 pounds of meat lasagna are being recalled, although no adverse reactions have been reported.  Individuals concerned about a reaction are advised to contact a  healthcare provider.

Consumers with questions may call Windsor Foods Toll Free Customer Service Number at 800-548-6363.
