Severed hand and foot mailed to Vancouver, B.C., schools

Police in Vancouver, B.C., are investigating the discovery of a human hand and foot, received in the mail at separate Vancouver schools Tuesday.

The schools were cordoned off Tuesday as forensic examinations were conducted. The identity of the remains was not immediately known.

According to the Vancouver Sun, there’s no immediate indication that any students or school staffers had been targeted at either of the schools.

Police have been in touch with investigators in Montreal, but did not know if there’s a connection to the murder there of a Chinese student, in which pieces of the victim were mailed to political party headquarters last week.
