Stanwood teen missing; authorities suspect mother of abduction

Karly A. McKay, 13, of Stanwood is believed to have been abducted by her biological mother Trina K. Anderson, 31, according to Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

Anderson’s custody of McKay was recently revoked, and it is required that visits be supervised.

Anderson is 5-foot-10, about 140 pounds  with brown hair and is believed to be traveling in a 2002 Lexus SUV, Washington license plate 341YPL.  Karly is 5 feet tall, 90-100 pounds with blonde-brown hair, and blue eyes.

McKay was last seen Tuesday afternoon by her grandfather when he dropped her off at home at 3 p.m. near the 19000 block of Happy Valley Rd. When her father came home around 6 p.m., she was missing. According to her father, she has no history of running away.

Evidence in the house led investigators to believe that Anderson was at the residence at the time of Karly’s disappearance.

Anyone with information on the location of Anderson or McKay is asked to call the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 425-388-3845.
