Tree hits Kirkland apartments, no injuries reported

A large tree fell on an eight-unit apartment building in Kirkland’s Juanita area Thursday evening, damaging several units.

No injuries were reported, although several occupants were assisted on the scene, said Margo Freeman of the Kirkland Fire Department.  The building was evacuated for Thursday night.

The tree fell shortly after 6 p.m. on the building in the 9800 block of Northeast 124th Street.
