Woman slashed in face in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood

One woman was slashed in the face with a broken bottle in an early Wednesday morning brawl in Belltown, according to Seattle Police Department’s online Blotter.

The victim was attacked around 1 a.m. at 3rd Avenue and Stewart Street by another woman, who police are still searching for, the blotter said. She was described as black, 5-foot-8, heavy-set, wearing a pink sweatshirt and white pants.

The suspect yelled at the victim and started punching her before grabbing a bottle. She broke the bottle and slashed the victim’s chin with it. While fighting back, the victim was able to pull out some of the suspect’s hair weave, which police collected for the ongoing investigation.

After finding police while holding a towel to her face, the victim was transferred to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. Two males who were accompanying her declined to speak with officers about the incident.
