The Seattle Police Department says it is still searching for a man who robbed a cyclist at gunpoint on Beacon Hill early Tuesday morning.
He was described by the victim as a black male in his mid 20s, 5-foot-6, slim build, with a skinny mustache and goatee and wearing a dark blue or black shirt and blue jeans, according to Seattle Police Department’s online blotter.
The suspect yelled and flagged down a man biking to his bus stop at Beacon Avenue South and South Dawson Street shortly after 2 a.m, said the blotter. After ordering the victim to drop his backpack and empty his pockets, the suspect threatened to shoot the cyclist.
He eventually fled down Chief Sealth Trail with the victim’s wallet and cellphone, leaving the victim physically unharmed, said SPD spokeswoman Renee Witt. Officers searched the area after the victim rode his bike home and was able to call police, but they weren’t able to locate a suspect.
