VANCOUVER, Wash. — A Clark County deputy prosecuting attorney who resigned last month was charged Tuesday with the attempted patronizing of a prostitute.
The Columbian reports Jeffrey W. Holmes was charged with the misdemeanor by the Skamania County prosecutor, who was asked to review the case to avoid a conflict of interest.
The charge is based on emails deputies found on Holmes’ cell phone in May as they were investigating a domestic violence complaint. That complaint did not lead to a charge.
