Seattle police say that gunfire broke out while a crowd gathered in a Belltown parking lot early this morning.
Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of First Avenue for a fight in a parking lot. A crowd had apparently gathered and someone started firing shots, police spokeswoman Renee Witt said.
No one was struck by gunfire.
Officers saw several people get into a parked car and police chased down the vehicle, Witt said. Six people were detained, a 21-year-old man who was identified by witnesses as the gunman was arrested for investigation of weapons violation, according to police.
