A 48-year-old Concrete man was killed in a logging accident northeast of Darrington yesterday, according to the Skagit County sheriff’s office.

The man, whose name was not released, was working off State Route 530 near the end of the Sauk Prairie Road in rural Skagit County.

Details of the accident, which occurred around 1 p.m., weren’t available. Snohomish County aid crews were called in, but the man was dead by the time they arrived, according to the sheriff’s office.
