Man shot at Blue Stilly Park near Arlington has died

UPDATE, 7:45 p.m. |

The 20-year-old man shot at Blue Stilly Park near Arlington on Saturday has died, according to the Snohomish County sheriff’s office.

Ryan Mumm of Stanwood was shot in the head and taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett
Saturday night. The case has now become a murder investigation.

Mumm, an organ donor, died “cradled in the arms of the love of his family” according to a statement his family released through the hospital.

“Although we could not save Ryan, he will be saving the lives of many people through his deep and generous act of love by organ donation,” said a statement from the Mumm family. “We will miss him forever and find comfort in the knowledge that we will be with him again one day. ”

Snohomish County Sheriff’s detectives continue to look for a suspect and are asking that anyone who was at the park the night of the shooting to come forward with any information about the incident. Several cars were seen fleeing the park after the shooting.

Anyone with information can call the Sheriff’s Office anonymous tip line at 425-388-3845.
