A Saturday vigil in Renton for a man who was shot to death the day before was interrupted by more gun violence, leaving one mourner with three wounds.

The victim is a 23-year-old Las Vegas man. Renton police say his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

He was part of a group gathered for a candlelight vigil on Southwest Sunset Boulevard, near the spot where police early Friday discovered a 26-year old Renton man dead in a bullet-riddled car which caught fire.

At Saturday’s vigil, shots broke out at about 9:45 p.m., according to Renton police. The nature of the altercation still isn’t known, but police said the shooting did not appear to be random, nor did it appear to be in retaliation for the earlier homicide.
