Mayor of Pacific arrested by own police force

PACIFIC — The mayor of the small Washington state town of Pacific has been arrested by his own police force.
KOMO-TV reports that Mayor Cy Sun was taken into custody after he reportedly tried to enter the city clerk’s office, from where he’s been banned for the past several weeks.
The station reports that Sun had previously locked the city clerk out of her office, fired three department heads and prompted two more to quit. The city council has taken a vote of no-confidence against him, but he says he’s just trying to clean up city hall.
Television news crews and photographers witnessed the arrest.
Pacific is on the Pierce-King County line.
