Traffic: Northbound lanes of the Alaskan Way Viaduct will close between the West Seattle Bridge and Battery Street Tunnel at 5:30 p.m. until about 8 p.m. for the Seafair Torchlight Run.
After the run, northbound lanes will open between South Royal Brougham Way and the Battery Street Tunnel, but the section between the West Seattle Bridge and South Royal Brougham Way will remain closed for construction until 5 a.m. Monday. The map and cams.
Armed robbery at marijuana dispensary: Three men broke into a medical marijuana dispensary on Lake City Way in Seattle early Saturday and robbed the night watchman at gunpoint. Two men kept the 70-year-old watchman at bay, while a third suspect loaded the watchman’s car with about 40 marijuana plants and a laptop before leaving in the watchman’s vehicle.
Tiger hanky-panky: Officials at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Tacoma say an endangered Sumatran tiger is pregnant and expected to give birth in early fall. The litter is fathered by a 3-year-old tiger visiting from Honolulu to breed with 9-year-old Jaya. Wait, does that make the tiger a cougar?
