Pierce County sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man pictured in these photos after he robbed a Walgreens pharmacy in Puyallup last week.

The man walked into the store in the 14300 block of Meridian Avenue East at 7:55 p.m. on June 28 and climbed over the pharmacy counter. He forced the employees to the floor at gunpoint and demanded prescription painkillers.

The man grabbed the medications, placed them in a large bright green bag and then ran out of the fire exit door. He drove off in a newer small silver Chevrolet SUV, according to the sheriff’s office.

The man is white and in his 20s, heavy set, with short brown hair and a goatee. During the robbery he wore a black baseball hat, blue jeans and dark gray T-shirt with a large red design on the front.

CrimeStoppers of Tacoma/Pierce County is offering up $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and charges.
