SeaTac collision kills motorcyclist

UPDATE 5:15 p.m. | The motorcyclist killed in the collision was a 26-year-old Burien man, according to Sgt. Cindi West of the King County Sheriff’s Office. He had just crossed International Boulevard while going eastbound on South 160th when he hit the passenger side of a taxi turning left into a private driveway.

West said the motorcyclist’s impact swung the cab around 180 degrees and that accident investigators believe he died instantly. The taxi driver, the only person in the cab, was uninjured but “extremely shaken up,” West said.

More than one witness to the accident said the motorcyclist was speeding, according to West. King County Sheriff’s Major Accident Response detectives will continue investigating the accident.
