Kite-surfer rescued near Golden Gardens

A kite-surfer was rescued at about 6:50 p.m. near Golden Gardens in Seattle at 8498 Seaview Place Northwest, according to the Seattle Fire Department’s dispatch scanner.

A nearby Harbor Patrol boat was able to rescue the man, who was struggling to get back on his board about 100 yards away from the shore, according to dispatchers.

The kite-surfer declined any medical attention after his rescue, dispatchers said.
