Man arrested in vandalism at West Seattle Muslim community center

Seattle Police Tuesday evening arrested a man who allegedly vandalized a Muslim community center in West Seattle because he “hates Muslims,” according to the department’s online blotter.

Two city maintenance workers who heard $3,000 worth of windows being shattered helped officers track down the man.

One followed the man after he walked away from the building. Officers eventually found the him behind the High Point Community Center and arrested him.

Officers booked the suspect into the King County Jail for malicious harassment and malicious mischief.
