Woman sexually assaulted this morning near UW

A woman was sexually assaulted early this morning near the University of Washington, according to Seattle police.

The woman was walking north on 16th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 52nd Street around 2 a.m. when a man passed her on the sidewalk. The man then grabbed the woman, threw her to the ground and sexually assaulted her, police said.

The woman said the man was about 6-feet-3, 21 or 22 years old, with short dark hair and stubble. He wore a purple UW Washington hoodie and blue jeans, police said.
