All lanes of Highway 522 in Lake Forest Park have reopened

All lanes of  Highway 522 in Lake Forest Park have reopened, according to the state Department of Transportation.

A large tree fell across the highway late Wednesday night, blocking all lanes and pulling down several utility poles and their electrical, cable TV and phone lines.  Power was knocked out for 7,500 customers in Lake Forest Park and Shoreline.

Highway 522 was closed for Thursday’s morning and evening commutes.

Highway 522 is a major Seattle commuter route around the north end of Lake Washington, carrying about 40,000 vehicles a day.
