1 dead in White Center collision

A man in his 70s was killed while pulling out of a driveway and onto Southwest 106th Street in White Center this morning. according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

The man’s car was “t-boned” by a woman who was driving with an 8-year-old passenger, said Sheriff’s spokeswoman Sgt. Cindi West.

West said the 10 a.m. collision, which occurred near 9th Avenue Southwest, appears to be an accident and that there was no indication that drugs, alcohol or speed were factors in crash.
