Firefighters are battling a brush fire on the north side of Green Mountain in Kitsap County.

The fire is about 500 feet by 1,000 feet and is just above Lake William Symington, according to Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue . Fire crews have to hike about a half mile to battle the blaze with hand tools.
