Seattle police are investigating a stabbing downtown early this morning.
Police were called around 1 a.m. to the corner of Third Avenue and Seneca Street for a wounded man.
According to the police report, officers found the man in the 1300 block of Third Avenue, which is Third Avenue and University Street. The man, who was apparently stabbed in the torso, was found leaning against Benaroya Hall, according to police.
The man told officers he was OK and didn’t want their help, said department spokeswoman Renee Witt.
Benaroya Hall security told police they’d found the man five to 10 minutes earlier, saying he had met their inquires with profanities, Witt added.
The stabbing victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. Police say they do not have any information on a suspect, nor have they said where the stabbing occurred.
