Man shot in car while celebrating birthday

A man who was celebrating his birthday with friends was found shot to death in a car early this morning, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

Witnesses told investigators that the man had been at his birthday event at a home in the 5600 block of South Langston Road in Skyway when he went out to a friend’s car to charge his cell phone, the sheriff’s office said. Shortly after 1:35 a.m., shots were heard and the man was found shot, sitting in the friend’s car, deputies said.

The victim has not been identified but is reported to have been from Renton, according to the sheriff’s office.
