Woman found dead in Sammamish pond: In what appears to be an accident, a woman in her 60s is dead after she fell into a pond in Sammamish, according to KIRO TV. The woman’s body was found by family members after she didn’t return from a walk yesterday. The woman apparently had been sitting on the bank when she slipped into the water. She has not been identified.
Raccoons, rats and coyotes, oh my! Raccoons are menacing folks near North Seattle Community College (Seattle Times); coyotes are roaming and killing pets in West Seattle (West Seattle Blog) and rats are running rampant on Bainbridge Island (Kitsap Sun). What gives?
Super Guppy: The big old Super Guppy flies into Seattle late this morning with the last section of NASA’s space shuttle trainer. If you haven’t seen the oddly shaped Guppy, you might want to have a gander when it flies into town. The trainer is being reassembled for eventual display at the Museum of Flight.
