The search for a 7-week-old girl born at Burien’s Highline Hospital and a mother and father allegedly keeping her from Child Protective Services (CPS) custody is over. All were found Monday, according to Sgt. Cindi West of the King County Sheriff’s Office.
Law-enforcement officials found the baby safe Monday morning in Aloha, Ore., with her mother Trina Curry. They arrested Curry, who has had seven other children taken away by CPS, when she allegedly tried to keep officers from taking the baby.
West said the King County Sheriff’s Office will not be pressing charges and will instead let Family Court Services handle the case.
King County Sheriff’s deputies also found and arrested the baby’s father, Quandra Powell, for outstanding warrants in Skyway later Monday.
