A part from an airplane landed in a Kent neighborhood this morning, according to Times news partner KING-TV.

The sheet of metal landed in the middle of Southeast 231st Way near 128th Place Southeast in Kent’s East Hill neighborhood.

Leah Dermody, who lives nearby, tells KING some of her neighbors heard a plane pass low overhead just before they heard a crash and discovered the part.

Officials with the Federal Aviation Administration were called to investigate. They reportedly took the part with them when they left, KING says.
