An Everett police officer struck a pedestrian with his patrol car while responding to a 911 call this morning.
The officer was driving to assist another officer when he struck a 50-year-old woman who was crossing a street in a marked crosswalk. The officer stopped and rendered aid to the injured woman, according to police.
The woman was taken to Providence Medical Center Colby Campus for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries to her side and knee, police said.
Everett detectives are investigating the collision, which police say occurred at a slow speed. The officer’s name was not released.
