Man struck on head in North Seattle home invasion robbery

Seattle police are reporting a home invasion robbery Monday night in an apartment on 26th Avenue Northeast in North Seattle.

Two men were robbed and one was assaulted in an incident that began with two men knocking on the door of an apartment. The apartment dweller answered the door, thinking he knew the visitors.

Police say that was a big mistake. Two unknown male suspects barged in and began stealing wallets, a cellphone and at least one container of marijuana.

One suspect struck one of the victims on the head with a blunt object. Medics treated and released the victim at the scene for a head laceration. Police are asking anyone with information to help identify the two suspects who remain at large.

One suspect is described by police as a black man in his 20s. He was wearing a red bandana, dark hoodie and jeans; the second suspect was also a black male in his 20s, wearing a dark hoodie and jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Seattle Police Robbery Unit at 684-5535.
