Morning Memo/Wednesday: Knox’s ex … Unclaimed cremains … Secrets of The Highlands

Weather: Heavenly weather through Sunday. Nothin’ but blue skies and temps in the low to mid-70s. OK, clouds do move in Monday and Tuesday, but that’s a whole week down the road and things can change a lot between now and then. The National Weather Service forecast.

Traffic: The map and cams.

Amanda Knox and her Italian ex-boyfriend: Well, this is really about the ex-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, who’s making the rounds in this country to promote his new book about the ordeal that put him and Knox in prison in Italy, Both were convicted in the 2007 slaying of Knox’s roommate, Meredith Kercher, in Perugia, Italy, but were later exonerated. Here’s a story from our news partner KING5.

300 unclaimed remains: The coroner in Walla Walla has the cremated remains of 300 people that are unclaimed, and he is looking for someone to claim them. That’s a lot of people for Walla Walla County, no?

Some long ball game: Orioles outlast Mariners in 18 innings

A peek inside The Highlands neighborhood: If you want to know just a tad about this exclusive, gated community just north of Seattle, have a look. One tidbit: “The Highlands employs 15 workers, including a general manager, security guards, lifeguards and groundskeepers.”
