Truck driver dies in crash on Tiger Mountain

The driver of a FedEx semi-truck died this morning when his vehicle ran off Highway 18 at Tiger Mountain, near Snoqualmie, according to the State Patrol.

State Patrol spokeswoman Julie Judson said that about 6 a.m., the truck webt off the road, hit a tree and caught fire. The driver may have suffered from a medical attack or fallen asleep, Judson said.

Some westbound lanes remained closed this morning, but are expected to reopen soon, Judson said.

KING5 has photos and a video of  the incident.
