Daughter suspected in Bothell woman’s suspicious death

Bothell police say a woman is suspected in her 80-year-old mother’s “suspicious death” in a mobile home Saturday morning.

The mother died of severe traumatic injuries in the home in the 3300 block of 228th Street Southeast, said Capt. Denise Langford of the Bothell Police Department.

Officers were originally called to the scene by the 42-year-old daughter, who requested medical attention at about 5 a.m. Saturday, Langford said.

Upon arriving on the scene, the daughter met the police outside her front door. Officers, who noticed that she was acting strangely, decided to enter the home.

That’s when they discovered the mother, who died shortly thereafter.

The daughter was taken to a local hospital for a potential medical issue, Langford said. Police are planning to question her later today.
