COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. – Authorities say a missing 79-year-old Seattle man has been found dead on a logging road near the Douglas-Lane county line in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
Seattle police Detective David Ogard told The Register-Guard on Monday that Sherman Davis suffered from dementia and disappeared last month from an independent-living facility in Seattle.
His body was found Friday.
The death is not believed to be suspicious. Ogard says Douglas County sheriff’s officers are investigating.
