Skagit County man killed with chainsaw; suspect arrested

A 34-year-old man arrested this morning north of Sedro-Woolley is suspected of killing another man with a chainsaw, according to the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim, 52, was found in his home in the 4800 block of Blank Road in rural Skagit County at around 6 p.m. Monday, according to Undersheriff Tom Molitor.  The victim had suffered wounds to his head from a chainsaw, he said.

The suspect is a tenant on the victim’s property, Molitor said. The homicide resulted from a dispute between the two men, he said.
