Two people shot in the leg in North Seattle

By Melissa Allison

Two people were shot in the leg in North Seattle on Saturday night, according to the police blotter.

Officers arrived about 10:24 p.m. at a “large disturbance” in the 11700 block of 26th Avenue N.E.

They immediately found one man with a gunshot wound to his leg; fire department medics transported him to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

While police tried to bring order to the chaotic scene, another victim showed up with a gunshot wound to the leg at a North Seattle hospital. It is not known if the second victim is related to the disturbance on 26th Avenue N.E.

Officers are investigating, and gang unit detectives are on their way to assist.
