The long dry spell could finally be over. The National Weather Service says there’s a 60 percent chance of rain on Friday, and rain is likely Saturday and Sunday, too.

2. KING5 | Health department investigating illness outbreak at Auburn school

The King County health department is scrambling to find out what is making so many students sick at an Auburn elementary school.

3. KIRO-TV | Newly constructed Clyde Hill house a total loss after fire

A three-story, newly constructed home was destroyed in an overnight fire in Clyde Hill Wednesday. Neighbors first noticed flames visible on the first floor of the house just after midnight and called 911.

4. Conflicting accounts: Dying woman embarrassed by TSA pat-down

A Michigan woman dying of leukemia says she hopes her embarrassment during a Seattle airport security pat-down might change the way the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) treats travelers with medical conditions. A TSA spokeswoman said late Tuesday, however, that the agency had reviewed video from the security checkpoint where Michelle Dunaj was screened for weapons and determined procedures were followed.

5. 2 men charged in rape, teen pimping cases

Two men have been charged with promoting the commercial sex abuse of a minor and second-degree rape for allegedly pimping out a 16-year-old girl and beating and raping a woman who refused to work as a prostitute for them, according to Pierce County prosecutors.

6. Mother jailed after child found in parked car dies

A 35-year-old woman is in jail after one of her two sick children died after being found Monday in a parked car on the Tulalip Reservation.

Human remains found last week in dense woods near Bastyr University in Kenmore were identified Tuesday as those of a Kenmore man who was reported missing more than six years ago, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
