This year’s Black Friday shoppers were split into two distinct groups: those who wanted to fall into a turkey-induced slumber and those who’d rather shop instead.

The number of murders in the nation’s capital is on pace to finish lower than 100 for the first time since 1963.

Egypt’s Islamist President Mohammed Morsi told thousands of supporters that his latest decisions granting himself sweeping powers were meant to stop “weevils” from the former regime from stopping progress.

5. GAZA CROWDS SURGE AT ISRAEL BORDER FENCE, 1 DEAD
Israeli troops fired to push back Gaza crowds surging toward Israel’s border fence with the Hamas-ruled territory in the first violence after a truce was declared.

The long trip from Southern California to Las Vegas is about to get bigger, better and boozier.

7. 140 CARS AND TRUCKS IN TEXAS HOLIDAY PILEUP
A big crash in extremely dense fog near Beaumont , Texas, kills two motorists and sends dozens to hospitals.
