UPDATE: 1 p.m. | Seattle police are investigating an apparent overnight burglary at the Democratic party campaign headquarters in Seattle.

At least two laptop computers were taken, but it wasn’t immediately clear what other equipment was missing, according to Democratic campaigners.

Police spokesman Mark Jamieson told the Associated Press there was no initial indication of a political motive for the break-in.  Anyone with informaton is asked to call 911.

The incident was reported about 5:30 by a campaign staffer who arrived at the office 901 Rainier Ave. S., to find a broken window and an open door.

The office, located at 901 Rainier Ave. S., houses the Washington State Democrats, Organizing for America, and Jay Inslee for Washington.

In an email to donors, an Inslee campaign official said equipment was stolen and property was damaged.

Seattle Times staff reporter Jim Brunner contributed to this report.
