Four construction workers were injured this morning in Redmond when a shoring near a high-rise apartment complex broke apart.
The four Compass General Construction workers were rushed to local hospitals for what initially looked like minor, non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Redmond Police Department.
The formwork being used to support the floor during a concrete pour collapsed around 11:45 a.m. near 164th Avenue Northeast and Cleveland Street. Though digging has been going on at the site for a while, construction started at the site within the past two weeks, according to Redmond Police Department spokesman Jim Bove.
The collapse closed several surrounding streets until about 2:30 p.m., Bove said.
