FBI seeks tips on ponytailed bank robber

The FBI  is asking for the public’s help in nabbing a ponytailed man suspected of sticking up at least four banks in Seattle and Bellevue over the past two months.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, and no one should approach him,  says a news release from the FBI’s Seattle Safe Streets Task Force.

The most recent robbery occurred at a U.S. Bank branch in Bellevue on Monday. The first heist linked to the suspect was  Sept. 7 in Seattle.  Other Seattle robberies were at a Homestreet Bank on Oct. 2  and a People’s Bank on Oct. 30.

Described as a white male in his 30s or 40s, the suspect has a goatee.  On at least one occasion, he wore a tropical-print shirt. For other robberies he donned a parka with a hood and a button-up shirt and baseball cap. He always wears sunglasses.

This security camera image is from a bank robbery in Seattle on Sept. 7.

In all four robberies, he was armed with a pistol.

Anyone with information should call the FBI at: 206-622-0460; or Crime Stoppers, at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous, and are eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000 if the information they provide leads to an arrest and the filing of charges.

This is believed to be the same suspect during a Nov. 6 bank robbery in Bellevue.
