Kids and adults robbed by group of teens on Halloween in Tacoma

The Associated Press

TACOMA — Police say six teens wearing blue bandanas robbed children and adults in six armed holdups on Halloween in Tacoma.

The 13-17-year-old robbers also took a bag of candy from an 11-year-old, Lt. Gerry Lerum told told KOMO.

A police dog tracked the suspects to a car where police arrested all six. Officers also recovered the stolen items and seized the masks and a .22-caliber handgun used in the robberies.

The suspects — ages 13 to 17 — were booked into Remann Hall, the Pierce County juvenile detention facility.

Lerum says police believe the robberies would have escalated if they had not been arrested.
