One person was killed when a driver apparently lost control of her car and crashed into a Renton office building Wednesday morning.
Renton police spokeswoman Terri Vickers said the accident happened about 10:53 a.m. at 45 Logan Avenue South near the Renton Airport.
Vickers said initial reports from the scene indicate that the victim had been trapped between the car and a wall. Fire department medics attempted CPR, but the victim, a woman, died at the scene, and the King County Medical Examiner’s Office was called.
The driver is believed to be a woman in her 80s. Her condition was not immediately known.
Streets near the incident were closed for the investigation.
KING-TV identified the building as a Farmers Insurance office.
