Police found the man shot outside of a unit’s front door just before 10 p.m. at the Greenwood Apartments on the 5300 block of San Francisco Avenue Southwest, said Lt. Chris Lawler. Police and West Pierce Fire & Rescue responders performed CPR to try to save the man, but he died at the scene.
Police do not know where the shooter is or have a description yet, Lawler said. Homicide detectives are interviewing witnesses at the scene to find out more about what happened.
