No trick, no treat: ‘Grim reapers’ rob Seattle family on Halloween
Three people in Halloween costume robbed a Beacon Hill family during a home-invasion robbery on Wednesday night, Seattle police said.
The victims, who live near 17th Avenue South and South Ferdinand Street, opened their door around 9:15 p.m. expecting trick-or-treaters. Instead, they encountered three people dressed all in black and wearing what the victims described as “grim reaper costumes,” police said.
The three pulled out handguns and forced their way into the home.
One of the robbers forced one of the home’s occupants into a bedroom and took cash, gold earrings, a necklace and a CD wallet.
The victims were not injured.
