A Seattle man suspected of pushing his girlfriend into traffic on Monday, causing her to suffer severe injuries, was arrested today.

The man and the 44-year-old woman were arguing Monday night when  he allegedly pushed her into Martin Luther King Jr. Way, east of South 129th Street, where she was struck by a car. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.

The suspect was booked this morning into the King County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault.
