Snohomish County jail sergeant charged with hair-pulling

The Associated Press

EVERETT — A Snohomish County corrections sergeant accused of pulling a co-worker’s hair at the jail in Everett has been charged with misdemeanor assault.

The incident happened Sept. 19 in a jail elevator when the sergeant told the officer she’d have to fix her hair differently, the Daily Herald reports today.

Sgt. Jerry Dixon has been on paid leave since the allegation surfaced and the sheriff’s office is conducting an internal investigation.
