Tree falls on trooper’s car

Washington State Patrol spokesman Russ Winger sent this twitpic of a trooper’s car which was hit by a mudslide and a falling tree on Highway 101 in Pacific County. The trooper’s car was then hit by another vehicle. Winger says the trooper was not hurt.

On Highway 101 in Pacific County, a State Patrol trooper was out of his car where a fallen tree and mudslide had closed the road, when his car was hit by a falling tree and another vehicle.

State Patrol Trooper Russ Winger said neither the trooper nor the woman driving the other car was hurt.

Winger said this was one of several mudslides affecting roads in Pacific County.
